My name is Christian Florio and I am a sworn translator and interpreter for the Slovak – Italian language combination, registered in the list of experts, interpreters and translators of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic.
Italian is my native language; Slovak is the language of the country that became my home. That is why I understand not only the words, but also the culture, the offices and the customs on both sides — I know what a Slovak registry office expects from a document, and what an Italian notary does.
Over the years I have translated more than 45,000 pages of certified translations. Thousands of birth certificates, court rulings, contracts and diplomas have passed through my hands, and I know that behind every document there is a real person for whom the translation should open doors, not close them.
What clients ask me most often
- 01What is a certified translation and when do I need one?
- A certified translation is made by a translator registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, bound together with the document and stamped with a round seal. It is required by authorities, courts, registry offices, schools and embassies — whenever a document must carry legal weight.
- 02Do I have to bring the original document?
- Not always. The translation can be bound to the original, to a notarised copy or to a plain copy — it depends on what the institution receiving the translation accepts.
- 03How long does a translation take?
- Standard documents (birth certificate, criminal record extract, etc.) usually take 1 working day. Longer texts by agreement.
- 04How much does a translation cost?
- The price depends on the type and length of the document. You get the exact price and delivery date instantly and up front — just click the Calculate translation price button, upload your document and the calculator works out the price automatically, with no hidden fees. You can then order the translation right away.
- 05Are your translations valid in Italy as well?
- Yes. Certified translations made by a translator registered with the Slovak Ministry of Justice are also accepted by Italian institutions.
- 06Are my documents safe?
- Absolutely. All documents are handled confidentially and in line with GDPR. With certified translations discretion is a given, not a bonus.
