Certified translation of civil status documents
I translate birth, marriage and death certificates both ways, from Slovak into Italian and from Italian into Slovak. Authorities examine these documents closely, so I issue them as certified translations bound to the document and stamped with a round seal.
I also work with multilingual extracts issued under the Vienna Convention (Modello A, Modello C) and with apostilled documents, so I know which part of a document an office needs translated and how to connect it correctly to the original.
When you need this translation
- Registering an Italian marriage or a child's birth in the Slovak registry.
- Transcribing a Slovak birth or marriage certificate at an Italian municipality.
- Applying for Italian citizenship with Slovak civil status documents.
- Inheritance proceedings, when birth or death records are submitted in the other country.
- A wedding in Italy or Slovakia and the documents required before the ceremony.
- Documents for children: school enrolment, passport or family benefit applications.
How it works
- 01Upload the document to the online calculator (PDF, Word or a photo taken with your phone).

- 03You place a binding order online.
- 04I translate the document, bind it to the source document and add the round seal (for certified translations).
- 05I hand the finished translation over in person, by post or by courier, whichever you prefer.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need the original certificate?
- Not always. The translation can be bound to the original, to a notarised copy or to a plain copy. The receiving institution decides, so ask them in advance.
- Does a multilingual extract (Modello A/C) need translating?
- It depends on the office. Some accept a multilingual extract without translation, others require a certified translation anyway, especially when it contains notes outside the pre-printed fields.
- Is the apostille translated too?
- Yes, the apostille is part of the document and is usually translated with it so the document is complete and readable in the other country.
